THE MANIFESTO
"Whether you're a Mod, Skinhead, Rudeboy, Casual, or Scooterist, Modfather Clothing has specifically selected lines from heritage brands, to suit your way of life."
2012
Our original store in Camden's historic Stables Market quickly became a must-visit destination for likeminded individuals. We filled the store with the things we love, our classic Lambretta scooters parked out the front, a Raleigh Chopper up on the shelf, vintage shop fittings, signed memorabilia, collectibles on the walls and lots of other curiosities.
With Mario's 40 years of experience working in the record industry, music was and always will be an integral part of daily life at our stores. On weekends we'd regularly have a band or DJ come in to play and on special occasions there'd be over a hundred classic scooters parked up around the North Yard of Camden Market.
We're blessed that some of our musical heroes became customers and friends, and in recent years we've had the opportunity to work with a few of them.
We have designed exclusive collections for The Who, Paul Weller, The Jam, The Style Council, The Bob Marley Foundation, Miles Kane, Richard Ashcroft and Fatboy Slim.
2020
Be it the beach brawls between mods & rockers in 1964, or The Jam's last ever gig in 1982, Brighton is a place with a rich subcultural heritage and there's a direct family connection to the area.
In October 2020, we took a bit of a risk and opened our second store at 2A Church Street. A short walk from the Royal Pavilion and the Brighton Dome, we're in a lovely regency Building.
Shutting for three months due to the last national lockdown.
Despite a precarious start, our Brighton store has been warmly embraced, with customers travelling to visit us from all over the world. The shop has gone from strength to strength and will celebrate it's fifth birthday in October.
A huge thank you to all of our customers for your shared love and appreciation of British subcultural style. Thank you for coming with us on the journey so far.
